Blood and Land Ancestors
This ongoing series uses colonial postcards to reframe historical narratives of human and more-than-human entities. Through this series, I aim to peel away the identity distortions of that era and its lingering impact today, exploring the deep connections and sovereignty shared between human and non-human beings—plants, fungi, water, insects, and more.
Imeq
In 2017 I went on an expedition with the NYU Centre for Global Sea Level Change to document and understand the rate of ice melt in the Eastern region of Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland). "Imeq", the Tunumiit oraasiat word for water, emerges from the footage captured during that expedition.
Imeq celebrates the life and vibrancy of the waters and people of Kalaallit Nunaat amidst the profound transformations unfolding in the region due to climate change.
